Brings 32 years of combined experience across intellectual property, R&D, and academia, with deep expertise in US, European, and Indian patent practices. As a registered Indian Patent Agent and certified Independent Director, they have a proven track record of building innovation cultures within multinational corporations and navigating complex data protection and corporate governance matters. Over their career, they have chaired a global IP committee overseeing more than 6,000 patent assets, drafted over 250 patent applications, and co-founded the In-House IP Professionals (IHIPP) Forum. Beyond corporate leadership, they have actively shaped India's IP and Standards policies, serve on the Government of Karnataka's ESDM vision group, and advise several engineering schools. Their extensive academic foundation includes a Ph.D. from NLSIU, a D.Sc. in Computer Science, an LL.B., and an M.E. (Gold Medallist), complemented by multiple published books and a commissioned paper for the National Academy of Sciences, USA.

A dual-registered Indian Patent and Trademark Agent and Karnataka State Bar advocate, he is also a Registered Independent Director, a recognized M&A expert, and a Certified Arbitrator with memberships in LES and CIArb, London. His robust strategic and technical background is supported by an LL.M. from the National University of Singapore (NUS), a B.Sc. in Chemistry, and specialized qualifications in Patent Law from NALSAR and Advanced Corporate Law from IIM Kolkata.
